New Israeli Multi-Layer System to Neutralize Quadcopters

MCTECH unveiled the MC-HORIZON: a multi-layer system designed to address the rising threat from light UAVs, quadcopters and mini drones. The system can detects and neutralize the threat

MCTECH RF Technologies unveiled the MC-HORIZON – a multi-layer system designed to address the rising threat from light UAVs, quadcopters and mini drones. The system capabilities include detection, acquisition, neutralization and even total destruction.

The advantages of the system are the detection range, level of precision and the long-range effectiveness of the neutralization. In field trials conducted by the company, the system showed operational capabilities of discovery of micro UAVs from a distance greater than 3.5 km, and thermal electro-optical acquisition and neutralization capabilities from a distance of over 2.5 km. The MC-Horizon system is also able to address short-range threats and to create a protective dome around a specific area, which is completely drone-proof. The system is modular, scalable, and suitable for many tasks.

The systems is offered in two versions. This first – stationary deployment, for the protection of critical facilities, missile bases, military installations or government buildings. The second – mobile deployment, to meet the demands of defending occasional events, VIP or military vehicles and maneuvering forces.

Chaim Meirovitch, CEO of MCTECH RF Technologies Ltd. said that "The MCTECH-Horizon was developed in MCTECH laboratories following an increasing demand from official governments and the threat of civilian drones used for terrorist purposes."

The MC-Horizon abilities were already demonstrated to several security officials in Israel and abroad with great success.
