The International InfoSec 2017 Conference was opened in London this week. Last year’s InfoSec attracted 363 exhibiting companies, along with nearly 18,000 information security professionals representing industries ranging from finance and insurance to education, manufacturing and healthcare. US-Backed Syrian Forces Launches Battle for ISIS Capital of Raqqa

The US-backed campaign to capture ISIS' de facto capital of Raqqa in Syria has officially begun, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has announced. The three-fronted attack had started from the north, east and west of the city on Monday. 

The Kurdish-Arab coalition of ground fighters has been slowly tightening the noose around jihadi militants in the northern city for months, assisted by US-led coalition air strikes. 

Elbit to Develop Panoramic Cockpit Display Units for F-35

Elbit Systems of America announced that it was awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to develop a cockpit display replacement for the F-35 aircraft. The development contract is for the Technology Refresh 3, Panoramic Cockpit Display Unit. The value of the award was not in a material amount.

50 Years since the Six-Day War and the Remarkable Operation Moked

The famous Operation Moked was the opening strike of the Six-Day War. Striking enemy airports and disabling the Arab Air Forces led the IAF to complete aerial dominance throughout the war, which allowed it to assist ground forces freely. South Korea to Start Mass Producing Raybolt Missile System

South Korea is set for the mass-production of the Raybolt medium-range anti-tank guided missile, as it has passed a "quality certification" test.

The live-fire test of the man-portable rocket system was successful, held at a Pocheon range, northeast of Seoul, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

The Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DATQ) also participated in the test of an actual product made by LIG Nex1, a local defense firm.
