IAI to Provide the IAF with EHUD ACMI Systems

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will provide the EHUD air combat maneuvering instrumentation (ACMI) system to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to be used by the Corps' training between combat aircraft and the Lavi jet trainers. The IAF has ordered the ACMI systems from IAI's MALAM Division. The EHUD will be mounted on the IAF's various combat aircraft as part of the training schedule until the installation of fixed systems.

IAI to Establish an Aircraft-Maintenance Training Center in China

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a $10 million contract with the city of Shantou in Guangdong Province last week to build a training center where Israeli teams will teach the Chinese to maintain passenger aircraft.

The contract was signed as part of a conference for business cooperation between Israel and the Guangdong Province.

The company also signed an agreement with Gwangju Port in the province to build a robot that would increase the efficiency of container storage.

Northrop Grumman to Upgrade USAF's F-16 Radar

The US Air Force selected Northrop Grumman Corporation’s APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR) as the active electronically scanned array (AESA) for its F-16 radar upgrade.

Northrop Grumman will upgrade 72 US Air National Guard F-16s to meet a US Northern Command Joint Emergent Operational Need for homeland defense.
