Satellite images reveal that the construction works at Palmachim airbase in central Israel are nearing completion (source: border9999). The project is funded by the United States, through the budget of the US Army Corps of Engineers Europe District.

The US Approves Fast Patrol Boats Sale to Kuwait

The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Kuwait of 15 fast patrol boats for an estimated cost of $100 million.

The boats will be fitted with 36 .50 caliber machine guns, and the prime contractor will be kvichak.

Jordan Received 150 M577 Command Post Vehicles from the US

On February 20, Jordan has taken delivery of 150 units of M577 Command Post Vehicles as a gift from the US government. The vehicles, reportedly designed to protect soldiers from biological and chemical attacks, will be used in combat and for border protection.

''This armored vehicle will further strengthen the JAF's ability by providing a crew of five soldiers protection against small arms fire and artillery shells, as well as protection from nuclear, biological and chemical weapons,'' said a statement from the US embassy in Jordan.

Lockheed Martin Delivers 400th C-130J Super Hercules Aircraft

Lockheed Martin reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its 400th C-130J Super Hercules aircraft on February 9. This Super Hercules is an MC-130J Commando II Special Operations aircraft that is assigned to the US Air Force's Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

The C-130J Super Hercules is the current production model of the legendary C-130 Hercules aircraft, with operators in 17 nations. To date, the global fleet of C-130Js has surpassed more than 1.7 million flight hours.

Singapore's Apache Helicopters Upgraded with IAI's SATCOM Network

According to Defense News, Singapore's Apache fleet is being upgraded with a new satellite communications system, believed to be IAI/ELTA's EL/K-1891 Ku-band network, and an integrated electronic warfare system, which was previously identified as being from Elbit Systems.

Russia Expanding UAV Activity in Syrian Khmeimim Airbase

A satellite image released by the Israeli company ImageSat International (ISI) reveals a new hangar at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria.

The new hanger, which was deployed during the last week, is located in the maintenance and UAV area, near two similar hangars, which were deployed in December 2015 and June 2017. According to ISI, the main purpose of those hangars is to maintain delicate equipment, such as sensors and UAV components.
