IMI Systems Introduces New Round: 5.56 APM

IMI Systems has developed a new round claimed to combine the advantages of 5.56mm and 7.62mm rounds.

The new round has been developed by IMI Systems' Small Caliber Ammunition Division based on combat experience and the operational requirements received from IMI's international clients.

This new ammunition is already being evaluated by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which is widely recognized as a leading laboratory for the testing of infantry assault rifles and ammunition.

Protego Wins the Cybertech Startup Competition

As part of Cybertech Tel Aviv 2018, a startup competition was held, powered by YL Ventures, to select the most innovative startup in the cybersecurity field. The prize: two entry tickets to the RSA conference.

The Head of Israel's National CERT Resigns

Israel Defense has learned that the head of the Israeli national CERT, Alberto (Deto) Hasson, is stepping down. The reason for the resignation apparently lies in the fact that Hasson was required to change his formal status and become a state employee. 

Hasson was appointed as Head of the National CERT in January 2016. He previously served various operational and technological positions within the Israel Security Agency (ISA).

IAF Expands Its Heron TP Fleet
