Turkish companies Aselsan, Roketsan and Tübitak Sage have signed an agreement with SSM, the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries, for a national long-range air defense system project.

Aselsan, Turkey's largest defense electronics company, announced on Tuesday that its share under the agreement was $227 million and $342 million and that the deliveries will be completed in 2021.

The first intifada started in 1987 and lasted until 1993, and the second occurred from 2000 to 2005. Following the recent unrest in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Israel should try to prevent the third intifada by taking steps to reduce the Palestinian motivation to confront the Jewish State. However, this might not be enough, and a third intifada might erupt. In such a case, Israel will strive to end this confrontation as soon as possible by implementing lessons from previous clashes.

German authorities on Tuesday conducted searches of homes and businesses belonging to ten suspected Iranian spies. According to Deutsche Welle, the Federal Prosecutors Office ordered the searches after receiving a tip from Germany's domestic intelligence agency.

In its first year, the fund expects to invest up to $200 million in start-ups and open innovation partnerships with technology entrepreneurs focused on new mobility, including vehicle electrification, autonomous systems, connectivity and artificial intelligence.
