Russian A-100 AWACS Aircraft Makes Maiden Flight

Russia's most advanced airborne early warning and control aircraft, or AWACS, made its maiden flight. According to a Sputnik News report, the A-100 first flight test was aimed at checking its aerodynamic characteristics, the performance of avionics and part of the equipment of the radio-engineering complex.

Poland Orders Thousand Suicide Drones

Polish WB Group was awarded a $20 million contract for the supply of Warmate Micro Combat Unmanned Aircraft System to the Polish Army, Defence Blog reported on Monday.

According to the publication, 100 sets of short-range combat unmanned aircraft systems will be delivered to the Polish armed forces, each consists of 10 drones.

US to Sell 208 Patriot Missile System to Poland

The US has approved a $10.5 billion sale of a Patriot anti-missile system to its NATO ally Poland.

As part of the deal, Poland is expected to receive 208 Patriot Advanced Capabilty-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement missiles, 16 M903 launching stations, 4 AN/MPQ-65 radars, 4 control stations, spares, software and associated equipment.

The "Oil War" in the Persian Gulf

An explosion ripped through the oil pipeline near the village of Buri some 15 kilometers from the capital of Bahrain, Manama, on November 10, 2017. An oil fire broke out on Bahrain's only pipeline from Saudi Arabia, temporarily halting oil supplies from its neighbor. No one was injured in the explosion, and there was no claim of responsibility for it. Evidence gathered by the inspection team confirmed that this was an intentional act undertaken by terrorists.
