Elbit Systems’ solution for Artillery Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) has been selected by a European country. Under the agreement, Elbit Systems will enhance 155mm howitzer battalions with advanced Digital Fires capabilities, by seamlessly integrating its C4ISR Artillery Suite including the Torch-X Fires application and E-LynX Software Defined Radio (SDR) radios.

Bird AeroSystems, an Israeli provider of innovative defense technology, has installed its advanced SPREOS DIRCM and Aeroshield missile protection systems on multiple Airbus A319 aircraft for an undisclosed European customer.

At the core of this project is the SPREOS (Self Protection Radar Electro-Optic System), a DIRCM system for missile approach verification, tracking, and laser jamming. SPREOS features semi-active dual-band radar fused with IR tracker and IR countermeasure capabilities.

Sweden Acquires 321 Patria Armored Vehicles in €470 Million Deal

The Swedish Defense Procurement Agency (FMV) has signed a contract to purchase 321 6x6 armored vehicles from the Finnish-Norwegian company Patria, valued at around €470 million.

These 321 vehicles, known as Pansarterrängbil 300 in Sweden, will be stationed at the Livgardet regiment in Kungsängen and several other units nationwide. Patria had previously delivered 20 6x6 vehicles under a separate contract signed in April 2023.
