Israel at War, Day 115: IDF Nears Full Control of Khan Yunis

IDF fighters eliminated armed Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists and located major stashes of weapons

Israel continues operating in western Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, on its way to gain full control over the area. Yesterday the Air Force, in collaboration with the Commando Brigade's comprehensive firepower, attacked using aerial vehicles two structures that served as terrorist infrastructure, housing several armed terrorists who were neutralized.

The Commando Brigade fighters identified and eliminated five terrorists, one of whom was armed with an RPG. The fighters raided terror targets and discovered various weapons, including RPGs, military equipment, and technological means.

Paratroopers Brigade fighters continued their raids on targets and found weapons and military equipment inside the house of a Hamas terrorist. Additionally, the fighters identified and eliminated four terrorists who were preparing to attack our forces near the 'Al-Amal' hospital. The fighters raided a structure used as a hiding place for members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and discovered weapons inside.

In the central part of the Gaza Strip, the combat team fighters of the Nahal Brigade eliminated several armed terrorists in the last 24 hours through engagements, supported by tank fire directed by the fighters and surveillance of the area. Additionally, the brigade's fighters discovered numerous weapons in the area.

On the outskirts of Shati refugee camp in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, the combat team fighters of the 5th Brigade eliminated several armed terrorists in various engagements over the past 24 hours. Additionally, the brigade's fighters discovered numerous weapons in the area, including Kalashnikovs, RPGs, explosive charges, missiles, and various launchers.

The firepower center of the 5th Brigade, in collaboration with the Air Force, targeted and eliminated terrorists using aerial vehicles in the sector. Fighter jets attacked several targets, including terrorist infrastructure, Hamas positions, tunnel entry points, and observation posts."
