Israel at War, Day 110: Licking Its Wounds, the IDF Forges On

On Monday, 24 fighters were killed in the Gaza battlefield. In the north, Hezbollah attempted to hit an Israel Air Force base

Following Monday’s tragedies in the Gaza battlefield, where 24 IDF fighters were killed, the Israeli army continues to make advances in enemy terrain.

The 98th Paratroopers Division continues its attack in the area of Khan Younis camp, intensifying pressure on the Hamas terrorist organization and eliminating many terrorist cells through sniper fire, tanks, and airstrikes. The Air Force supports the forces engaged in attacks to suppress threats on the ground in real-time and swiftly closes in on terror infrastructure for rapid destruction.

Yesterday, the commando combat team of the IDF's Commando Brigade conducted raids on terrorist targets in the heart of the camp and encountered numerous terrorists, including terrorist cells prepared to carry out anti-tank missile attacks on the forces, and were subsequently neutralized. Air Force aircraft eliminated a terrorist cell with weapons and another terrorist cell that was observed hiding from our forces, as part of the comprehensive fire of the Givati Brigade.

Simultaneously, in the central Gaza Strip, as part of the activities of the Yiftach Brigade, brigade fighters identified an armed enemy observer near forces preparing to fire toward IDF troops from a structure. Reconnaissance forces fired upon the assailant and neutralized him.

In the northern part of the strip, in the past 24 hours, aircraft from the Air Force eliminated numerous terrorists to support the fighters of the 215th Artillery Brigade.

On the northern front, the IDF admitted that a Hezbollah rocket hit an Air Force base on Mt. Meron and inflicted light damage. Fighter jets attacked in Lebanon in retaliation.
