Israel’s National Counter-Terror Unit (YAMAM) combatants, who have been fighting Hamas terrorists in Southern Israel, discovered packages of rice in which the Hamas smuggled weapons into the Gaza Strip.

The YAMAM fighters were among the first to respond forcefully to the October 7th terror attacks. The fighters eliminated about 200 terrorists at various combat points in the south.

After the battle was over, the fighters collected combat gear and weaponry from the terrorists they eliminated and found weapons hidden inside rice packages that were among the terrorists' equipment.

It is estimated that the weapons were smuggled into the Strip inside the rice bags, disguised as "humanitarian aid."
