Here are the latest updates from Israel’s current war on Hamas, following the terror organization’s surprise, brutal attack on Saturday morning. Over 1,200 Israelis are confirmed dead, over 2,700 are wounded, and an estimated 150-200 were abducted to Gaza. Hundreds more are still missing, their whereabouts and status unknown.

Overnight, the Israel Air Force destroyed an advanced detection system developed by the terrorist organization Hamas, which was used for the purpose of detecting aircraft over the Gaza Strip. For years, Hamas established a network of high-quality cameras, hidden inside solar heaters throughout the Gaza Strip, with the aim of identifying and tracking aircraft

In addition, dozens of fighter jets struck over 200 targets in Al-Furqan, which is used as a Hamas terror hub. The IDF says this is the third strike in the area during the last 24 hours, in which the IDF struck 450 targets overall.

Late last night IDF soldiers, backed by a helicopter and UAV, conducted an exchange of fire with a number of terrorists in the Ashkelon Industrial Area. The soldiers killed three terrorists and continued conducting searches in the area.

The northern front was also on high alert last night. Around 5 p.m., Approximately 15 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory. The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted four rocket launches. 10 launches fell in open areas. In response, IDF tanks struck two observation posts belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Around 10 p.m., a number of launches from Syria into Israeli territory were identified, part of the launches crossed into Israeli territory and presumably fell in an open area. IDF soldiers responded with artillery and mortar shells toward the origin of the launching.

An unknown number of Palestinian terrorists are still at large in Israeli territory. Last night, IDF soldiers killed two terrorists in the area of Kibbutz Re'im, in southern Israel, and two others in the nearby area of Kibbutz Mefalsim. An ongoing exchange of fire and searches after an additional terrorist took place.
