Israel Purchases 10,000 Locally Manufactured Rifles

The rifles are intended for distribution to civilian security teams in some 400 communities in Israel, specifically those close to borders, mixed Jewish-Arab cities, and West Bank settlements

Israel will purchase over 10,000 locally manufactured rifles, intended for distribution to Border Police civilian security teams in approximately 400 communities across the country, with an emphasis on those close to the border, mixed Jewish-Arab cities, and West Bank settlements.

As the first step, 4,000 rifles have already been purchased and will be immediately distributed to the teams. Simultaneously, the Ministry of National Security has procured additional combat gear, including helmets and protective vests, which will be distributed alongside the Tavor rifles. According to the ministry, a shipment of thousands of helmets and vests is currently en route to Israel.
