Report: India Acquires Rampage Missile from Israel, Is Establishing Testing Facility

The procurement took place at the end of 2022 and is intended for India's Su-30MK aircraft.

A delegation of three UAE Navy officers, led by Colonel Dr. Ali Saif Ali Al Marzai, visited INSHansa in India on August 30th in order to familiarize themselves with the meteorological and oceanographic facilities of the Indian Navy, as a step towards establishing cooperation in these areas. This, according to a tweet by IN_GNA.

The tweet included a photo showing Indian officers presenting Israeli Rampage missiles that India purchased from Elbit for its Su-30MK aircraft. According to AdithyaKM_, India is establishing a testing facility for the missile in Goa.

The purchase of the Rampage missile was already reported in December 2022 on India Today. According to the report, the missile is intended for ground targets with a range of up to 250 km.

The missile includes GPS/INS navigation systems and weighs 570 kg. According to Elbit's website, the missile's speed ranges from 0.7 to 0.95 Mach, and it has an attack angle of up to 90 degrees. The warhead weighs 150 kg.

The Rampage is based on Elbit's extra ground-launched rocket. The sale to India was made by Elbit.

Last July, it was reported that a British delegation also came to Israel, and they too explored the possibility of purchasing the missile.
