Six Destroyed Explosives Labs, Hundreds of Bullets Seized: IDF Ends Jenin Operation

Overnight, Israel has concluded counterterrorism operation “Home and Garden”, held in Jenin for the past two days.

According to IDF data, 14 apartments and command rooms of persons of interest were located and neutralized by security forces; six explosives labs were located and destroyed; Ten mortar charges, 24 M-16 rifles, eight handguns, and hundreds of bullets for various types of weapons were seized and neutralized; and hundreds of thousands of terror funds were seized.

Furthermore, dozens of kilograms of chemical materials for manufacturing bombs were seized, and six underground tunnels and two underground smuggling tunnels associated with a terrorist organization were discovered, containing numerous combat equipment.

Overnight, a non-commissioned officer in combat service, sergeant David Yahuda Yitzhak, was killed by live fire during the operation against terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin Camp this evening.

In addition, five rockets were launched from Gaza toward Israeli territory. In response, IDF fighter jets struck an underground weapons manufacturing facility overnight used by the Hamas terrorist organization, as well as a raw materials manufacturing facility for rockets belonging to Hamas in Gaza.

“The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted all the rocket launches,” said the IDF spokesperson in a tweet.
