Argentina has decided to purchase Hero-30 and Hero-120 loitering munition systems from Israeli company UVision, designed for its special forces as well as airborne and naval units.

According to Argentine website Aviacion, Argentinian Minister of Defense Jorge Taiana has signed an agreement with the head of Israel’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT), Yair Kulas, to purchase both versions of the unmanned aerial loitering systems.

Reportedly, the Hero-30 is to be used in attacking soft-skinned vehicles and headquarters, while the large, Hero-120, will be used against armored fighting vehicles, bunkers, anti-aircraft guns and drones.

Weighing under 8 kg, the Hero-30 is portable and can be deployed within minutes. Its range is 15 km, and its endurance is 30 minutes. The Hero-120 is the largest of UVision’s short-range system. IT weighs 18 kg and can carry a 4.5 kg warhead.
