In a joint operation by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency, militants from the Hamas military intelligence network were assassinated. Among them were Hassan Kaogi, head of the security department of Hamas military intelligence, and his deputy, Wail Issa, head of the military intelligence counterespionage department, who was the brother of Marwan Issa, deputy head of the military wing of Hamas, in an attack by fighter planes on the building where they were operating.

In addition, the houses of Bassem Issa, commander of the Gaza city brigade, Raafa Salameh, commander of the Khan Yunis brigade, and Mohammad Yazuri, head of the Hamas military intelligence network, which were used as terror infrastructure, were attacked. In the early hours of the morning, in response to the massive firing of rockets at areas in the south and in the center of the country, IDF fighter planes attacked a building being used by the Hamas terror organization in the Ramal neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip. The building is the location of the intelligence headquarters, the West Bank headquarters, the information department and the Gaza brigade of the Hamas organization.

The IDF also attacked the home of another senior figure in the Hamas terror organization, Salah Dahaman, which was used to store weapons for the Hamas terror organization.

Meanwhile, air defense troops shot down an unmanned aircraft that crossed from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. Also, the IDF's Jordan Valley brigade received a report on an attempt to steal weapons in Nebi Musa. The suspect was arrested on the scene, and there were no casualties among IDF troops.

So far, about 850 rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel. There are five fatalities in Israel as a result of these launches. Schools in most of the cities in southern and central Israel are closed. A facility of Petroleum & Energy Infrastructures in Ashkelon that was hit yesterday afternoon continues to burn, but for now there is no concern that the fire will spread.
