Kfir fighter planes of the Colombian Air Force were scrambled several days ago to intercept a plane belonging to Russia's intelligence agency that violated Colombia's airspace.

The Defense Blog website reported that the Russian plane was an Ilyushin IL-96 400 VPU belonging to the FSB, Russia's state intelligence agency.

Colombia's Air Force Command scrambled Kfir fighter planes (which are manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries) to intercept the Russian plane. The pilots ordered the Russians to leave Colombian airspace, and the plane left the airspace and continued on its flight.
