According to a report by Intelligence Online, senior Israelis met with Saddam Khaftar, the son of Khalifa Haftar. Saddam is expected to run for president of Libya soon.
The objective of the meeting, according to the report, was to promote American interests in Libya to Saddam, who has an American passport.
According to the same report, Israel is also in contact with the son of Qadaffi, who is supported by the Russians. The report goes on to say that Israeli representatives have good contacts with both sides of the conflict in Libya – Tripoli and Benghazi.
