On Wednesday, the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day, a ceremony marking the observance was held at the Cybertech conference on Emirati soil. The ceremony, which took place at the pavilion of IAI, was very moving for the participants because of the special location where it was held – in a Muslim country in the Persian Gulf. A place that until a number of months ago was considered out of reach for the majority of the citizens of Israel.

Following the normalization agreements (the Abraham Accords) between Israel and the UAE that were signed in August 2020, it became possible to travel freely between the countries, which made it possible, among other things, to hold the Cybertech conference in Dubai. Over the last few days, the conference was attended by large numbers of cyber experts from Israel, the UAE and dozens of other countries. The conference served as a venue for exchanging opinions, knowledge and experiences from the world of cybersecurity.

As mentioned above, towards the end of the conference, a ceremony in honor of Holocaust Memorial Day was held.
