Ukrainian state arms company UkrOboronProm announced last week that it was awarded an $85.6 million contract for repair and support of the Pakistan Armed Forces' fleet of T-80UD main battle tanks, the Defense Blog website reported.

Pakistan bought Ukrainian T-80UDs for the main armored corps of the Pakistani Army in the mid-1990s. The T-80UDs supplied to Pakistan had many features of the modern T-84, including new turrets. Deliveries of 320 T-80UDs began in 1997 and were completed by early 2002, the report said.
