The Juniper Falcon air defense exercise by the Israeli and US air forces started this week. It is being held simultaneously in Israel, Germany and the US.

Various units including the IAF Air Defense Division, the Operations Directorate, the Israeli Navy and logistics and medical units are taking part in the exercise. Juniper Falcon, which has been taking place for 20 years, plays a significant role in the cooperation between the two militaries and countries.

This year's exercise, which simulates scenarios in which Israel faces surface-to-surface missiles and other aerial threats, is intended to enable the two militaries to strengthen cooperation and coordination, learn from each other, improve defense readiness and maintain the deep strategic cooperation between the two sides.

Due to COVID-19, special adaptations were made this year in order to ensure that the exercise is held while protecting the health of the participants.
