India on Tuesday carried out a test of its BrahMos cruise missile that it is developing jointly with Russia. Recent reports claimed that the Philippines is expected to purchase the missile.
According to reports in India, the missile flew for 290km at a speed of Mach 2.8. India wants to expand the range to 400km in the initial stage, and eventually expand the range to 1,500km.
