Azerbaijan is one of the customers that purchased the LORA missile made by Israel Aerospace Industries. According to reports over the last few days, the Azeri Army fired a single missile toward a bridge in Armenia during the clashes that broke out between the countries during the last few weeks. Later reports claimed that the missile did not hit the target and caused partial damage. The bridge remained intact, according to the reports.

The use of the LORA is unusual because of its importance as a tactical ground-to-ground missile with a range of hundreds of kilometers. On the face of it, the use of this kind of weapon escalates the hostilities. But there were no reports claiming that Armenia used the Iskander missiles in its possession following the use of the LORA. So it seems that as of now, the use of the LORA did not cause an escalation in the use of missiles in the current conflict.
