Netanyahu disclosed the alleged locations of Hezbollah's missile facilities. In response, Nasrallah denied it and brought journalists to those locations hours after the disclosure.

Benjamin Netanyahu disclosed to the UN the alleged locations of places where Hezbollah is storing missiles. It was the latest disclosure by Israel of the places that Hezbollah manufactures and stores precision missiles. However, it should be mentioned that until today there has been no disclosure of any proof that Hezbollah has this kind of missile. It raises the question of why don't the intelligence services of Israel reveal pictures of the weapons or the production/assembly lines if they know about such places of manufacturing and storage.

Following the disclosure by Israel, in a countermeasure, Nasrallah quickly invited local and foreign journalists to the places in Beirut disclosed by Netanyahu. Based on the pictures taken, it seems that the places are not used for manufacturing, assembly or storage of missiles. There is little chance that Nasrallah managed to empty the facilities within a few hours without Israel noticing it.

This raises the question of which side is speaking the truth, and why neither side provides proof of its claims. In the same way that Netanyahu did not reveal photographs of weapons or assembly lines, it can be claimed that, in the aforementioned places, Nasrallah is hiding the missiles underground or under some other cover that was not revealed to the journalists who were brought to the sites.

Netanyahu's disclosure followed a number of internationally-related steps occurring in Lebanon since the explosion at the port of Beirut in the beginning of August. First, the political rift in Lebanon following the explosion makes it difficult to form a new government. Everyone blames everyone for the explosion, and France is trying to mediate, so far without success. It seems that despite everything, Hezbollah is moving to maintain its power in the political sphere.

At the same time, there is internal public pressure in Lebanon demanding the demilitarization of Hezbollah. Some residents of Beirut blame Hezbollah for the explosion and demand that only the Lebanese military bear weapons in the country. This demand is in line with external pressure from the UN, the US and Europe on the same topic.

Alongside these developments, there is pressure by the US to outlaw Hezbollah in countries where it operates. This has succeeded in some European countries. It didn't succeed in others. In any case, every report like the latest one strengthens the claim that Hezbollah is a militant terrorist organization and is not a political organization as it wants to be perceived in Europe.  In addition to the pressure for the demilitarization of Hezbollah and its removal from Europe, Israel, with US mediation, is conducting contacts for a resolution of the issue of the maritime border with Lebanon, according to foreign reports. One of the concerns in Israel is that Hezbollah will enjoy the economic fruits of the gas drilling in Lebanon.

There is no doubt that the Israeli disclosure, alongside the pressure that will be applied in the UN afterwards, is meant to apply international pressure whose goal is the isolation of Hezbollah. Isolation that is supposed to disrupt the functioning of the organization that receives wide-ranging Iranian support.
