Iran: Explosion in Natanz was caused by sabotage

The announcement was made by the country's atomic energy organization. It has yet to specify how the explosion happened. The blast was among of a series of similar incidents that have been happening recently around Iran

The atomic energy organization of Iran said this week that "sabotage" was the cause of the explosion at the nuclear facility in Natanz last month, according to a report by Britain's The Guardian. 

"Security investigations confirm that this was sabotage and what is certain is that an explosion took place in Natanz," said the spokesman of the organization, Behrouz Kamalvdani, to state-run Iranian news agency IRNA. "But how this explosion took place and with what materials…will be announced by security officials in due course." The organization also there were no casualties from the fire, and that it did not cause radioactive pollution.  

The explosion was among a of a series of similar incidents that have been happening in recent weeks at strategic locations around Iran.
