Astronautics Supplies Navigation Data Distribution Systems for 'Sa'ar 6' Ships

Israel's Astronautics C.A. Ltd., a provider of navigation systems to the Israeli Navy, recently supplied the first navigation data distribution system for the newest Israeli Navy "Sa'ar 6" surface ships.

Additional systems were supplied to the Navy's labs for integration with the ship's other systems.

Astronautics' systems are part of the ship's infrastructure and will be among the first to be installed on the new ships upon arrival in Israel.

The system integrates all navigation data from various sensors and disseminates it to all ship users in real- time, via a range of communication channels, very precisely.

Nir Itzhaky, Vice President Business Development and Marketing at the company, points out that the new system developed by Astronautics has advanced capabilities and incorporates state-of-the-art technologies and algorithms that will significantly improve the Navy’s performance under the challenges of navigation warfare in the present and future eras.

The Israeli Navy confirmed that astronautics' system meets all the requirements as defined in the development phase while keeping the project's tough schedule.
