Elbit Signs Deal to Manufacture UAVs in Kazakhstan

The company signed a long-term agreement with Kazakhstan Aviation Industry for the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles. Sources told IsraelDefense that in the first stage, production will focus on Skylark UAVs

Kazakhstan Aviation Industry entered into a long-term contract with Elbit Systems for the production, assembly, and maintenance of UAVs.

In addition, they signed a license agreement on the transfer of exclusive rights on the use of the Elbit Systems Ltd. trademark in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Aviation Industry is a jointly developed enterprise of Kazakhstan Engineering, JSC and Kamkor Management LLP, which provides maintenance, repair, and modernization of aircraft.

The first delivery of equipment, components, and assemblies for the production of the UAVs is expected until the end of this year.

Sources familiar with the matter told IsraelDefense that in the first stage, the Kazakh company will manufacture Skylark UAVs.
