DSIT Solutions unveils at IMDEX 2019 a multi-layered defense solution for securing strategic assets against a range of underwater threats. These include, among others, hostile military, terrorist and illegal activities, intrusion, sabotage and smuggling by divers, Semi-Submersible Vehicles (SSVs), Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), and all submarine types.

DSIT’s multi-layered defense solution incorporates several capabilities and systems developed by the company, such as the Shield family of sonars, including the SeaShield ASW sonar and the AquaShield Diver Detection Sonar (DDS), that cover immediate, close-ranged threats, and are both stationary sonar systems. The PointShield Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) system is used to protect strategic assets and ships when on-board vessels at shallow waters, and the Fish ASW family of sonar systems detects approaching underwater threats that are a risk to those assets.

Also on display at IMDEX 2019 is DSIT’s tactical submarine mission sonar simulation and training system, as well as DSIT’s Portable Acoustic Range (PAR) systems that measures the radiated noise of ships and submarines while maintaining the vessels’ low noise signature.

“DSIT Solutions is proud to unveil its unique and comprehensive Underwater Security System of systems at Singapore, presenting a full Underwater Defense suite, which is based on the company’s proven capabilities and vast experience in underwater technologies and threats environment,” says Hanan Marom, the company’s Business Development and Marketing & Sales VP. “Our solutions are modular, cost effective, present tailor made capabilities according to specific customer’s needs and are compatible with other existing platform’s systems.”
