Brazil Eyes Towed Howitzers

The Brazilian Army is considering the purchase of 155 mm towed howitzers to replace its 42 M114 and 33 M114A1 155 mm guns.

The project is currently in its initial phase, with quantities, schedules, equipment, and accessories pending definition, the army told Jane’s. The acquisition will depend on budget availability.

A procurement process is currently being formulated after studies were conducted on the prospect of finding equipment that meets the requirements, the report adds.
