According to infodefensa, Chile released a list of its investment in defense products. In the field of aviation, the Chilean Air Force wants more UAVs. By some estimates, Chile might opt for the Hermes 900 UAV of Elbit Systems.
In 2011, Chile acquired three UAVs of this type.
