According to a report on Bmpd.livejournal, the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has purchased a "Bodyguard" Armored Vehicle, made by IMI. The vehicle was co-developed by IMI and Ido Off Road Center. It was first introduced in 2014 during the Eurosatory exhibition. According to public records, this is the first customer to purchase this armored vehicle.
The "Bodyguard" was revealed during a Turkmen military exercise simulating terror attacks, called VATAN.
