US Intelligence: Iran Could Produce Enough Fissile Material for a Bomb within a Year

In a statement before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Daniel Coats revealed that the US believes that Iran could have enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon in one year. USS Mount Whitney Arrives in Israel

The US command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20) has arrived at the Israeli port of Haifa to take part in the joint US–Israeli military exercise "Juniper Cobra 2018."

On February 26, the US formally handed over an unmanned aerial intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) system to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). An official within the US State Department told Jane's that the system comprises three Israeli-made Aeronautics Aerostar tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and is contractor-owned and operated under a one-year contract that began in September 2017.

Spice 1000 Declared Fit for Operational Use with IAF's F-16C/D Aircraft

The "Spice 1000" munition has been declared fit for operational use with "Barak" (F-16C/D) aircraft after successfully completing an examination which included a series of aerial and ground tests. "Spice 1000" is an advanced electro-optic munition manufactured by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. It was integrated several months ago by the 109th and 110th Fighter Squadrons in Ramat-David AFB. "The munition provides the IAF with new capabilities," said Capt. A., a pilot at the 117th Squadron and leader of the integration process.

Elbit to Supply Advanced Cockpit System to Boeing's F/A-18 Block III

Boeing has been awarded a contract to modernize the US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet. In the early 2020s, Boeing will begin installing initial updates to the aircraft that will convert existing Block II Super Hornets to a new Block III configuration. Among these updates is the installation of an advanced cockpit system by Elbit Systems.
