AM General to manufacture tens of thousands JTLV for US Armed Forces

As part of the contract, whose value is estimated at about 8 billion dollars, the company will produce about 20,000 JLTV vehicles along with about 10,000 trailers

American company AM General, a global military mobility solutions provider, was awarded an estimated $8 Billion contract for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Family of Vehicles.

The company will manufacture an estimated 20,000 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) along with approximately 10,000 trailers and includes implementation of technology enhancements for delivery to the US Armed Forces.

The contract's duration is five years (plus an additional five-year option) and deliveries are expected to begin 17 months after contract award.

AM General is represented in Israel by the Israeli company "Karil", which represents a number of leading companies in the defense sector.
