UVID Dronetech 2021, Israel’s leading unmanned vehicle conference, took place yesterday (Wednesday) in Tel Aviv and achieved smashing success, with thousands of industry experts and enthusiasts from Israel and abroad coming together for interesting lectures and an expansive exhibition.

For the past nine years, the UVID Dronetech conferences, led by Mr. Alon Unger, have been the home of the unmanned vehicle community. Given that, no effort has been spared in the attempt to hold an in-person conference this year, despite the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Among the many dignitaries who honored the UVID stage with their presence were Chief Artillery Officer, Brig. Gen. Neri Horowitz, who discussed UAVs as a component of Israel’s national security strategy; Tal Ohana, Mayor of the Southern Israeli local council of Yeruham – affectionately referred to as UAV town; and Israel Aerospace VP of Marketing, Hudi Lahav, who talked about the need to promote the Israeli drone industry; Dror Ben-David, who heads the National Drone Initiative and discussed the many civilian applications of drones; Menahem Landau of Caveret, who expressed the need to rely more on Israeli-based vehicles rather than on Chinese-made ones, and many, many more.
