Experts at the Middlebury Institute of International Affairs at Monterrey said Iran is once again making preparations to launch a satellite into space using a Simorgh rocket, according to a report by CNN.

According to the report, the Pentagon was watching earlier this month as Iran attempted, and failed, to launch a satellite into orbit.

"U.S. Space Command is aware of the Iranian rocket launch failure which occurred early June 12th," said the Pentagon spokesman, Lt. Col. Uriah Orland, in a statement to CNN.
