Israel Aerospace Industries, via its subsidiary ELTA Systems, signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of the Republic of Srpska with a goal of establishing a cyber academy that will train and equip students to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity.

The ceremony was attended by the minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Srpska, Srđan Rajčević, and the director of Marketing and Business Development at ELTA Systems, Roi Shaposhnik.

"Our goal in Srpska is for Banja Luka and Srpska to become a center of cyber security and of this type of IT industry. For that purpose, we plan to organize and establish a cyber academy in cooperation with Israeli partners," said Minister Rajčević, emphasizing the fact that the state of Israel is a leader in the field of cybersecurity.

If everything goes according to plan regarding the establishment of the cyber academy, IAI's trainer could start operating in Srpska by the spring of next year.
