IDEX 2021: Israeli weapons in the UAE

Israeli companies are participating for the first time in the IDEX and NAVDEX defense exhibitions in Abu Dhabi this month

Israel's leading defense companies will participate in the IDEX 2021 defense exhibition that will take place in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems express hope for cooperation and promotion of business ties with government and industry bodies in the United Arab Emirates, and will display advanced technologies for use in the air, land and sea domains.  

The exhibition will take place between the 21st and the 25th of this month at the National Exhibition Center of the UAE in Abu Dhabi, and the event will focus on defense of the land, sea and air domains. An exhibition of naval defense equipment, NAVDEX 2021, will take place concurrently. The exhibition's organizing committee announced that with the authorization of the health authorities of the UAE, the 10-day quarantine that is required for anyone entering the Emirates these days will not apply to those coming to the exhibitions.    

At IAI's special pavilion in Abu Dhabi, the emphasis will be on space systems, civilian aviation and mission aircraft, and the presentation of complete operational solutions (systems of systems) for a wide range of uses in the air, at sea, on land, and in the cyber domain.  

The CEO of IAI, Boaz Levy, said "Israel Aerospace Industries applauds the agreements signed by the two countries, agreements that open a window for extended cooperation, sharing of knowledge, promoting investment, development and localization of joint technology. IAI sees our activities in the region as an opportunity to promote cooperation within the regional eco-system and is open to promoting defense as well as civilian endeavors on a range of topics, such as space and satellites, air defense and rocketry, intelligence, robotics, UAVs, cyber etc."

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems will display at the IDEX 2021 exhibition a wide range of systems providing solutions for various operational needs, including artificial intelligence, big data, deep learning, cyber defense solutions and more. Rafael's expertise in artificial intelligence fields plays a central role in its autonomous operational and navigational capabilities in GPS-denied environments. Rafael will also participate in the NAVDEX 2021 naval exhibition.    

The company said that its participation in all industrial cooperation plans and joint projects will always be based on solutions tailored to the needs of the customer and the market. Elbit Systems, which is also participating in the exhibition in Abu Dhabi, said that it will soon announce which of its systems will be displayed at the exhibition.
