RT LTA Systems Ltd., an Israeli designer, developer, and manufacturer of aerostats for use in intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and communications applications, will present the new capabilities of the Skystar 100 aerostat for the first time, at AUSA Annual Meeting 2017 which will take place at Washington D.C. on October 9-11. AUSA 2017: ACS Will Present The Grenade Trigger Pouch

ACS Industries, an Israeli supplier of grenade carriers, will present the Grenade Trigger Pouch – its unique rigid carrier for fast and safe handling of fragmentation and flash bang grenades – at AUSA 2017 which will take place at Washington D.C. on October 9-11. Enabling one-handed grenade retrieval, the pouch is intended for use by any fighter carrying a grenade, and was specially designed for military and police Special Forces and counterterrorism units.

IAI Expands Its Unmanned Vehicles Capabilities

Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) Unmanned systems have successfully completed a proof of concept to high officials of the defense industry and the IDF. Recently developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) the Air Hopper took a part in a demonstration that covered two scenarios, one simulating carrying a seriously-wounded soldier to an extraction point for life-saving treatment, airborne monitoring of vital signs and real-time dispatch to the ground.

The Aerial Arm of the IDF Ground Forces

The State of Israel has a multiple-tier air-defense system that includes the Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow-I and Arrow-II systems. The forces of the IDF Ground Arm, the maneuvering elements, are similarly assisted by tiers of unmanned, remotely-piloted aerial platforms: drones (multicopters), Skylark-1 UAVs (IDF designation "Rokhev Shamayim", soon to be replaced by "Doher Shamayim"), Hermes-450 UAVs (soon to be replaced by the Hermes-900) and various other platforms.

Cybertech Europe 2017: In the Eyes of the Media

 

Cybertech Europe 2017, which is being held in Rome, for the second consecutive year, has attracted a lot of media attention in Italy and around Europe.

Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti, spoke at the opening plenary and addressed the growing threat of the cyberspace. She also added that the need for co-operation between companies and governments in this field is important. Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo also spoke at the conference and spoke about the threats and opportunities that arise from the cyber arena.

Elbit Systems announced today that it was awarded an approximately US$300 million contract, for the supply of command and control systems to a customer in Asia-Pacific. The project will be performed over the next three years.

Elbit to Provide Defense Electronic Systems to a Country in Africa

Elbit Systems announced today that it was awarded a $240 million contract to provide a wide array of defense electronic systems to a country in Africa.

The contract, which will be performed over a two-year period, is comprised of Directed Infra-red Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems to protect aircraft from shoulder-fired missiles (Man-Portable Air Defense Systems -MANPADS), based on passive IR (Infrared) systems, and includes Missile Warning Systems (MWS), radio and communication systems, land systems, mini-UAS systems and helicopters upgrade.
