A major anti-tank missile deal is underway in Poland. Sweden’s Saab will supply the Polish Ministry of Defense with thousands of Carl Gustav M4 anti-tank missile launchers and hundreds of thousands of missiles worth $1.241 billion. The delivery of the launchers and missiles will be made between the years 2024-27. In this way, Poland becomes the largest customer of these systems after the US Army.

Saab's CEO and President, Michal Johansson, says that he is "Proud of our close relationship with the Polish armed forces and that Saab can continue to strengthen Poland's ground combat capability and national defense with our world-leading Carl-Gustaf System".

It is worth noting that this massive procurement of the Carl Gustav M4 anti-tank missile systems by Poland coincided with the procurement of Spike LR anti-tank missile systems manufactured by Israel’s Rafael, a procurement estimated at a total value of about 250 million dollars. The spike LR missile systems are intended for installation on the new Polish Rosomak 8x8 APC.
