SMARTSHOOTER Secures $13M U.S. Army Contract for Advanced Fire Control Systems
SMASH 2000L to be integrated into combat units, enhancing U.S. Army’s dismounted counter-drone capabilities with AI-powered precision targeting
SMARTSHOOTER, an Israeli designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative fire control systems, announced that its U.S. subsidiary, SMARTSHOOTER Inc., has received a $13 million order from the U.S. Army for SMASH 2000L fire control systems.
According to the company, SMASH systems have already been acquired and operationally deployed by various branches of the U.S. armed forces, providing valuable field experience and proving effective against evolving threats. The new order represents a significant milestone, as the technology will now be integrated into U.S. Army combat formations—advancing the Army’s dismounted counter-UAS capabilities.
Also referred to as SMASH 3000, the SMASH 2000L (Light) is SMARTSHOOTER’s lightest handheld-operated fire control system. Mounted on a soldier’s rifle, it uses computer vision, artificial intelligence, and advanced tracking algorithms to detect, track, and precisely eliminate aerial and ground threats. It is especially effective against drones and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS), offering a high probability of kill against emerging threats.
Combat-proven by the Israel Defense Forces during Operation Iron Swords, SMASH systems have also been deployed by NATO forces and are gaining traction across multiple branches of the U.S. military.
“We are honored by the U.S. Army’s continued confidence in our SMASH technology,” said Michal Mor, CEO of SMARTSHOOTER. “With SMASH 2000L, dismounted soldiers gain advanced fire control capabilities that ensure precision in every shot—even under the most complex and high-pressure conditions. This contract is a major step toward Army-wide fielding, and we are proud to support this important initiative.”
