After simulating 600+ clinical trials, the Israeli company is betting AI can transform one of the riskiest stages in drug development

Clinical trials are one of the biggest bottlenecks in drug development: they are expensive, slow, and highly uncertain. Israeli startup QuantHealth is betting that artificial intelligence can change the process by allowing pharmaceutical companies to simulate and optimize trials before they begin.

The company, founded in 2020 by Orr Inbar and Arnon Horev, has developed an AI-powered platform that enables drugmakers to test different clinical scenarios, identify risks, and improve trial design before committing major resources. The approach aims to replace some of the industry's traditional trial-and-error process with predictive simulations.

QuantHealth announced a $45 million Series B funding round led by Qumra Capital, with participation from Pitango HealthTech, Sanofi Ventures, Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments (BHI), GC Ventures, and additional investors. The company said the funding follows a year of rapid growth, including an eightfold increase in sales during 2025.

“Today, clinical development decisions are still largely made through real-world iteration — running trials, waiting for results, and adjusting at significant cost and risk,” said Orr Inbar, CEO and co-founder of QuantHealth. “We’re fundamentally changing that model. With our predictive simulations, teams can evaluate clinical and commercial decisions before enrolling a single patient or committing capital.”

The need for such technology is growing. More than 90% of drugs entering clinical development ultimately fail, with many failures linked to safety and efficacy issues. As pharmaceutical companies face rising costs and pressure to bring treatments to market faster, they are increasingly turning to AI-based tools to improve decision-making.

QuantHealth says its platform has already simulated more than 600 clinical trials across 30 medical indications, achieving predictive accuracy of up to 90%. The company works with 12 of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies and plans to expand its coverage to more than 40 therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiometabolic diseases, and inflammatory conditions.

The new capital will be used to develop next-generation AI models, expand the company’s data capabilities, grow its workforce, and broaden its product portfolio across the drug development lifecycle.
