Israeli technology company Odysight.ai has received a purchase order from Elbit Systems, on behalf of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, to deploy its AI-powered predictive maintenance system on several military platforms. The order, valued at approximately $300,000 (NIS 1 million), could pave the way for broader deployment across additional Israel Defense Forces platforms following successful integration.

Odysight.ai’s solution uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to continuously monitor safety-critical components and identify early warning signs of developing faults before they lead to operational disruptions. The technology is designed to improve platform availability, extend service life, and enhance military readiness by enabling a shift from reactive maintenance to proactive, data-driven decision-making.

As defense organizations worldwide face higher operational demands and growing sustainment challenges, predictive maintenance has become an increasingly important capability. Rather than relying solely on scheduled inspections or responding after failures occur, AI-based monitoring systems can help identify potential issues earlier and optimize maintenance activities.

The new order expands Odysight.ai’s cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Defense, following a previous delivery of its vision-based monitoring technology announced in 2025. The company said the latest deployment represents a potential pathway toward wider adoption across additional military platforms, as well as future opportunities with allied defense operators.

“This order is a significant milestone in our long-standing partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Elbit Systems,” said Yehu Ofer, CEO of Odysight.ai. “With our solutions already deployed across strategically important platforms, we see this as a foundation for broader adoption and additional opportunities in global defense markets.”

Odysight.ai develops AI-based predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring solutions that combine visual sensing, real-time analytics, and machine learning. The company’s technology has been deployed in projects involving organizations including NASA, the U.S. Department of Defense, and Israel’s Ministry of Defense.
