What if you could test an AI system not in a lab – but against thousands of versions of real users, before it ever goes live?

That is the premise behind Arato, an Israeli startup building an “AI assurance layer” for enterprise systems. The company has raised a $10 million seed round led by TLV Partners, with participation from Jibe Ventures, Raghu Raghuram, and Marianna Tessel.

Arato’s platform connects to an organization’s existing AI product and generates tens of thousands of simulated user interactions. These scenarios mimic real-world behavior across text, voice, images, and business data, running through the product’s actual interface without requiring code access or complex integration.

The system is designed to surface how AI behaves under real-world pressure—where it breaks, what patterns repeat, and which failures emerge only at scale. Instead of static test cases, it builds a dynamic simulation environment that reflects how unpredictable user behavior can be.

After running simulations, Arato analyzes results at two levels: a high-level view of recurring failure patterns, and a deep dive into individual interactions to understand specific breakdowns. The output is a structured risk map that shows not just whether an AI system fails, but when, how often, and how severely.

The company is targeting a growing gap in enterprise AI adoption. As AI moves into customer-facing and regulated environments, organizations increasingly lack visibility into real-world behavior before deployment. At the same time, frameworks like the EU AI Act and NIST AI Risk Management Framework are pushing companies to prove greater control, testing, and accountability.

Early customers include enterprise SaaS companies, fintech and insurance platforms, e-commerce players, and industrial firms using AI in core operations. In one case, Arato says a global industrial company reduced manual validation work by about 80% and saved millions of dollars by automating testing of its AI systems.

Founded in 2024 by veterans of Mercury Interactive and VMware, Arato builds on decades of experience in testing and infrastructure. The founders previously created Stoke, acquired by Fiverr for $95 million. The company is currently based in Israel with 23 employees.
