Cyera Raises $600M at $12B Valuation as Enterprise AI Security Demand Surges
Cybersecurity unicorn expands its “trust layer” platform as global companies race to secure and govern AI systems accessing sensitive enterprise data
Cyera, one of the world’s most valuable privately held cybersecurity companies, has raised $600 million in a new funding round at a $12 billion valuation earlier this month, as demand grows for tools securing enterprise AI adoption.
The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from Cyberstarts, Temasek, and existing investors including Accel, Blackstone, Coatue, Spark Capital, and AT&T Ventures. The latest investment brings Cyera’s total funding to more than $2 billion.
The company said the funding will accelerate development of what it describes as a “trust layer” for enterprise AI—technology designed to help organizations understand what AI systems can access and how they interact with sensitive data. Cyera says many enterprises still lack visibility into AI agents operating across their environments, slowing adoption at scale.
“In a world where data is the fuel for innovation, Cyera helps provide us with visibility and context to enable secure AI at scale,” said Rich Baich, CISO at AT&T. “It helps us accelerate AI adoption by knowing and controlling what AI can see and do.”
Cyera’s platform spans data security posture management (DSPM), data loss prevention (DLP), identity, privacy, and AI agent security. The company says it has shipped more than 100 product capabilities in the past year as demand for AI governance tools increases.
Co-founder and CEO Yotam Segev said the company is addressing a foundational gap in the AI stack. “Trust is what makes AI transformation possible – knowing what your AI can see and do,” he said.
Cyera has tripled annual recurring revenue for three consecutive years and now employs more than 1,500 people across 18 countries. It has also completed five acquisitions in the past 18 months, including Ryft and Genie, to expand its platform capabilities.
Investors say Cyera is building core infrastructure for AI-era security. “Cyera has built the layer that informs enterprises what their AI can see, learn from, and act on,” said Richard Seewald of Evolution Equity Partners.
As AI adoption accelerates, Cyera is positioning itself as a key platform for governing data access and managing enterprise risk.
