Elbit Systems Sweden Completes Major Digital Battlefield Demo
120-node NATO-interoperable exercise showcases real-time command-and-control, alongside ILA Berlin presence and confirmed French restrictions on Israel’s official participation in Paris defence exhibition

Elbit Systems Sweden has completed one of Europe’s largest live field demonstrations of a digitalized land force network, showcasing a fully integrated, real-time command-and-control architecture connecting soldiers, vehicles, sensors and command posts.
The two-week exercise in Sweden featured a 120-node tactical network operating under realistic field conditions. The demonstration brought together participants from across Europe, NATO member states and international partners to test multi-domain connectivity and coordinated mission execution from headquarters to the tactical edge.
Built on Elbit Systems’ digitalization suite, the network integrated the E-LynX™ software-defined radio family, Torch-X™ battle management system and TIGER-X command architecture. These systems enabled continuous voice, video and data exchange across distributed forces, including reconnaissance drones, armored vehicles, command posts and dismounted troops.
During the scenarios, commanders maintained a live battlefield picture, issued digital maneuver orders and coordinated operations in real time, while frontline units shared intelligence and positional data. The system also demonstrated interoperability with NATO command-and-control frameworks and selected commercial communications networks.
Elbit Systems Sweden CEO Tobias Wennberg said the exercise demonstrated the ability to connect diverse battlefield platforms into a single secure network, drawing on years of operational experience across global programs.
Separately, Elbit Systems Deutschland is presenting its portfolio at the ILA Berlin Air Show 2026, where it is showcasing systems including airborne High Power Laser (HPL) counter-UAS technology, the E-LynX™ UxS communications system, PULS rocket artillery, SkyStriker loitering munitions, and Hermes UAV platforms.
Later this month, Elbit Systems is also expected to participate in the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris. However, the French government has informed the Israeli Ministry of Defense of its decision to bar Israel’s official participation in the event, meaning the Ministry of Defense will be unable to establish a national pavilion or take part in the exhibition in an official capacity.
