Israeli Defense Exports Hit Record $19.2 Billion in 2025
Defense exports rose by approximately 30%, reaching a record $19.2 billion; more than half of the deals exceeded $100 million, while government-to-government agreements totaled about $10 billion
Israel’s defense exports reached a record $19.2 billion in 2025, an increase of about 30% compared to the previous year, according to a report by the Ministry of Defense. This represents more than a doubling over the past five years and a fourfold increase over the past decade.
According to the data, more than half of the contracts (53%) were each valued at over $100 million. Government-to-government (G2G) deals totaled approximately $10 billion – more than half of total defense exports.
Missile, rocket, and air defense systems led exports with 29% of total deals, followed by surveillance and optronics systems with 22%, compared to just 6% the previous year. Aviation, radar, electronic warfare, and command-and-control systems also recorded significant activity.
Europe was the leading export destination with 36% of deals, followed by Asia and the Pacific with 32%, the Middle East and North Africa with 15%, and North America with 13%.
Ministry of Defense Director General Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram said that “the surge in defense exports is the result of growing global demand alongside the opening of new markets and reduced regulation.” He added that the increase enables expanded investment in research, development, and production capacity within the defense industries.
Head of SIBAT, Brig. Gen. (res.) Yair Koles, noted that “many countries around the world are increasing their defense budgets and showing growing interest in Israeli systems and technologies.” He said the record in government-to-government agreements reflects the expansion of Israel’s defense cooperation with additional countries.
The rise in exports comes amid growing demand for Israeli defense systems and the expansion of international cooperation in recent years.
