Israeli Tech in Florida Generates $7.3 Billion and Over 26,000 Jobs, New Report Finds
A 5WPR report details the rapid expansion of Israeli-founded tech firms in Florida, highlighting strong job creation, high wage premiums, and growing concentration in Miami-Dade
A new report by digital marketing agency 5WPR highlights the growing economic footprint of Israeli-founded technology companies in Florida, showing a sector that has expanded into a multi-billion-dollar contributor to the state economy and a major source of employment.
According to the agency’s Israeli Tech in Florida Report, there are 429 Israeli-founded companies operating across the state, supporting 26,510 jobs and generating $7.3 billion in total economic output, based on data from USIBA, Startup Nation Central, and the Israel Innovation Authority. In Miami-Dade alone, Israeli tech companies account for more than $6 billion in output, representing 2.78% of county GDP.
The report, released alongside Israel Tech Week 2026 in Miami, finds that Israeli-founded firms pay wages roughly 12% higher than the Florida average, with some regions showing even larger wage premiums. It also identifies Florida as a growing hub for Israeli entrepreneurs, driven by tax advantages, strong connectivity to Israel, established community infrastructure, and support programs such as the Florida-Israel Business Accelerator (FIBA).
A key trend highlighted in the report is the relocation of Israeli and Jewish-founded companies from other US hubs, particularly New York. The report cites concerns about the evolving political environment in the city, including the new mayor Zohran Mamdani, as a factor contributing to reassessments of business location decisions.
USIBA officials quoted in the report say Florida is increasingly viewed by Israeli entrepreneurs as a stable and welcoming base for expansion, a perception that is translating into measurable investment and job creation.
“$7.3 billion is not a footnote,” said 5WPR CEO Matt Caiola. “It reflects a community that has reached critical mass in Florida.”
Israeli-founded companies in the state are concentrated in cybersecurity, fintech, healthtech, agritech, cleantech, defense technology, and space systems – sectors where Israel has established global expertise.
