UVision Inks Major US Contract
Mistral awarded sole-source contract to supply lethal loitering munitions based on its strategic partnership with UVision
Mistral Inc., a defense company based in Bethesda, Maryland, has received a $982,000,000 hybrid (cost-no-fee and firm-fixed-price) contract for the supply of lethal unmanned systems — the units, also referred to as “loitering munitions” or loitering weapons.
The contract was awarded on a sole-source basis under the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-7 (Public Interest) and was executed by the U.S. Army procurement office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, under framework/order number W91CRB-25-D-A009. The estimated completion date is September 29, 2030, and the places of performance and funding sources will be determined by each individual order issued under the agreement.
This is a new deal for UVision, which, according to business records, is represented exclusively in the United States by Mistral and is a strategic partner.
UVision is an Israeli company that specializes in the development of loitering munitions — systems that hover in the target area for a period of time and are capable of conducting a precise, directed strike after identification. In recent years, weapons of this type have drawn public and international attention regarding their operational capabilities.
UVision will attend UVID 2025 this coming November, joining top industry players at this premier conference focused on innovation in unmanned systems.
