Bagira Wins NATO JTAC, Joint Fires Training Contract for Estonia

Small-value, high-impact deal: $750,000 contract to supply a Joint Fires Training & Exercise System (JFTES)

Israeli company Bagira, which develops and manufactures simulators for a range of military applications, announced that it has won a tender to deliver a new JTAC and Joint Fires training capability for a NATO customer. IsraelDefense has learned the contract is for Estonia and is valued at $750,000.

According to Bagira, the Joint Fires Training & Exercise System (JFTES) will equip JTACs and joint-fires specialists with world-class simulation, mission rehearsal, and interoperability tools, ensuring readiness for complex combat operations.

Estonia has increased its purchases of Israeli military equipment in recent years. In 2024 the Estonian Army began acquiring Spike SR anti-tank missile systems manufactured by Rafael under a 2019 deal worth €40 million for the supply of 18 Spike launchers and 500 missiles. In February 2024 it was also reported that Estonia had acquired the BLUE SPEAR sea-to-sea missile system — a fifth-generation evolution of the Gabriel family — developed in cooperation between Israel Aerospace Industries, Proteus, and Singapore’s ST Engineering.

Estonia also previously purchased the long-range “Harop” loitering munition from IAI and roughly a thousand 7.62×51 mm (commonly referred to as 7.52 mm in some reports) Negev machine guns from IWI.
